The Founders Trail trip to Rosneath. A Thank You.

Yesterday we took a few Bears up into the Gareloch area to visit the sites linked to our Founders childhood, it was a cracking day out.

We paid our respects at the final resting places of Tom and Alex Vallance and Moses McNeil. We stopped at Bendarroch Park in Garelochhead and paused at the home of Founder Peter Campbell.

We’d like to sincerely thank the Rev Christine Murdoch for opening up the stunning St Modans church for us and explaining the link the church has with our first patron the Marquis of Lorne and his wife Princess Louise, who was the daughter of Queen Victoria.

We then had a two hour food and refreshment break at the Creggans Inn Kilcreggan, many thanks to Titch and his staff for looking after us…we will be back!

Finally we’d like to thank each and every one of you for your support of the Founders Project, without you these trips don’t happen…and of course we can’t forget the sing song on the way home!

Four lads did indeed have a dream.
