The Restoration of Rangers Graves Project and The Kirkintilloch Rangers Supporters Club.

The Restoration of Rangers Graves Project and The Kirkintilloch Rangers Supporters Club.

Two years ago we restored at the Auld Aisle cemetery in Kirkintilloch the plots of three boys who went to Ibrox on the 2nd January 1971 and didn’t return home.

A few weeks later we were contacted by Robert’s brother Harry and Andy Malcom who said they were going to organise a fund raising event for our Restoration of Rangers Graves Project, they were true to their word and a wonderful night at the Club raised an astonishing £2,700.

Last Friday night after tickets had sold out in record time the second fundraiser saw fantastic band The 154 almost take the roof off at a packed out Kirkie Rangers Club.

During the break a raffle and auction was held and we’d like to sincerely thank Rangers legends Alex MacDonald, Willie Johnston and Colin Stein for attending and supporting the Restoration Project.

All in a mind blowing total of £5,000 was raised for the Restoration Project. This will guarantee that our work continues over the coming weeks and months.

We’d like to sincerely thank Andy Malcolm and Harry Carrigan for arranging the event ,the Kirkintilloch Rangers Supporters Club, everyone who donated to the raffle/auction and those who attended for their overwhelming generosity.

Thank you.
