The Restoration of Rangers Graves Project and The Kirkintilloch Rangers Supporters Club.
Three years ago we restored at the Auld Aisle cemetery in Kirkintilloch the plots of three boys who went to Ibrox on the 2nd January 1971 and didn’t return home. .
Robert Carrigan
James Rae
Thomas Stirling.
A few weeks later we were contacted by Robert’s brother Harry and Andy Malcom who said they were going to organise a fund raising event for our Restoration of Rangers Graves Project, they were true to their word and a cracking night at the Club raised a wonderful amount of money.
On Friday 2nd May after tickets had sold out in record time the third annual fundraiser saw fantastic band The 154 almost take the roof off at a packed out Kirkie Rangers Club.
During the break a raffle and auction was held.
All in a mind blowing total of £2,805 was raised for our Restoration Project. This will guarantee that our work continues over the coming weeks and months.
We’d like to sincerely thank Andy Malcolm and Harry Carrigan for all their hard work and for arranging the event,Billy our compère for the evening, the Kirkintilloch Rangers Supporters Club and their staff, everyone who donated to the raffle/auction and all those who attended for their overwhelming generosity.
Thank you.
