The Restoration of Rangers Graves Project. Remembering the 66-Alexander Orr.

Alexander Orr was only 16 years of age when he didn’t return home from Ibrox on the 2nd January 1971.

Earlier this week Alexander’s family made contact. We met at Alexander’s resting place earlier today in New Monklands Cemetery. The plot will now be fully restored.

Are you aware that there is a grave of one of the 1902 Ibrox Disaster in Janefield Cemetery, Parkhead. His name was Bruce Crawford and is listed on the Memorial at Ibrox. Sadly his stone is halved in two and hs been for nearly twenty years as far as I know. Another victim of the 1971 Disaster is Thomas McRobbie who is in a family plot in the Tollcross Central Cemetery...the stone is in need of a really good clean up or replaced. His family are still in the Camlachie area I don't know his brother but I am sure I could track him down if I was to ask about.

Yours Aye!
