William ‘’ Daddy’’ Dunlop. A hugely influential figure who wrote the first ever account of the birth and early years of the Rangers.

He was on committee and rose to become President of the Club.

Willie’s sister Marion married the great Tom Vallance.

His grave at Cathcart Cemetery when it was found was akin to a jungle.

After an appeal a team of ‘Bears’ assembled and cleared the foliage to prepare the grave for essential work
